What Diagnostics Are Needed?
We recommend diagnostics including, but not limited to, bloodwork and x-rays.
If your pet is experiencing issues with their skin, ears, or bowels, we encourage you to discuss bloodwork with your primary veterinarian to evaluate for food and/or environmental allergies.
For pets with musculoskeletal concerns, we recommend complete x-rays to assess for underlying issues. While many older pets experience generalized arthritis and may not always require imaging, neoplastic (tumor-related) conditions are not uncommon. Therefore, x-rays are recommended for any pet suffering from an acute or painful injury.
Medical Records Requirement
We believe the best care for your pet comes from a holistic approach that combines traditional and alternative veterinary medicine. To provide this level of care, we work closely with your primary veterinarian.
Although we encourage clients to discuss alternative care with their primary veterinarian, a formal referral is no longer required. However, diagnostic testing and complete medical records must still be submitted and reviewed prior to scheduling an initial consultation.
These diagnostic tests should be completed at the discretion of your primary veterinarian. The more information we have, the better we can tailor an individualized treatment plan for your pet.
After your pet’s visit, we will follow up with your primary veterinarian regarding findings and treatment.
